FDCU Welcomes Tohoku University and Niigata University Exchange Students from Japan, Strengthening International Relations

From March 10 to 14, the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University welcomed nine exchange students: 7 students from the Graduate School of Dentistry, Tohoku University, and 2 students from the Faculty of Dentistry, Niigata University. The students participated in the exchange program to visit and observe academic and clinical activities within the faculty.

On the first day of the program, the faculty guided the exchange students on a tour of the faculty’s museums: Vach Vidyavaddhana Museum and the Museum of the Human Body. In the afternoon, the students were given a tour of Chulalongkorn University, marking the conclusion of the first day’s activities.

On the second day, the faculty divided the exchange students into two groups for a more efficient rotation through various clinical departments. In the morning, both groups visited the Graduate Pediatric Dentistry Clinic and the Oral Surgery Clinic. In the afternoon, they visited the Prosthodontics Clinic and the Occlusion Clinic.

The following day of the program, the students in both groups continued their visits in the morning, observing the Radiology Clinic and the Digital Dentistry Center.

On the fourth day, the first group attended a surgical observation in the operating room in the morning, while the second group participated in a community dentistry program at Baan Rajavithi. In the afternoon, both groups visited the Diagnostic Clinic and the Orthodontics Clinic.

On the final day of the program, the second group attended a surgical observation in the operating room during the morning period. In the afternoon, both groups visited the Operative Dentistry Clinic and the Endodontic Laboratory, concluding the exchange program.

To commemorate their participation, Associate Professor Dr. Rangsima Sakoolnamarka, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Corporate Communications, and Social Activities, presented certificates and gifts to the exchange students.
