FDCU Welcomes Exchange Students from Taiwan and Japan to Strengthen Academic Ties
From August 18 to 22, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, welcomed undergraduate dental students from two institutions: four fourth-year exchange students from Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan, and two fourth-year exchange students from the University of Osaka, Japan, making a total of six participants. They joined a short-term exchange program designed to provide opportunities for observation and study visits across the Faculty’s clinics and departments.
On the first day of the program, the exchange students visited the Faculty of Dentistry Museums— Vach Vidyavaddhana Museum and Museum of the Human Body—as well as toured faculty buildings and facilities to familiarize themselves with the facilities during their stay.
During the program, the students from Kaohsiung Medical University observed and visited the following clinics and units:
- Oral Diagnostic Clinic
- Graduate Periodontics Clinic
- Operative Dentistry Laboratory
- Occlusion Clinic
- Digital Dentistry Center
- Radiology Clinic
- Operating Room
- Endodontic Laboratory
- Oral Surgery Clinic
Meanwhile, the students from the University of Osaka took part in visits to:
- Periodontics Clinic
- Community Dentistry Program at Prathom Nonsee School
- Occlusion Clinic
- Operative Dentistry Clinic
- Pediatric Dentistry Clinic
- Digital Dentistry Center
- Operating Room
- Oral Surgery Clinic
On the final day of the program, Assist. Prof. Supreda Srithanyarat, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, presented certificates of participation to the exchange students in recognition of their successful completion of the program.
The Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University has continuously welcomed exchange students around the world while also sending fifth-year dental students to participate in international exchange programs annually. These efforts aim not only to foster academic collaboration and institutional partnerships but also to reaffirm the Faculty’s position as a leading global institution in dental education and research, committed to advancing cooperation in all dimensions.
