Strengthening the Collaboration: FDCU welcomes professor and exchange student from Health Science University of Hokkaido

From March 5 to 7, 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University welcomed Professor Takashi Saito and Ms. Hidemi Yokota, a fifth-year dental student from the School of Dentistry, Health Science University of Hokkaido, who visited the faculty for an observational study in the exchange program under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

On the first day of the program, Associate Professor Dr. Rangsima Sakoolnamarka, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Corporate Communication, and Social Activities, led the guests on a tour of the Undergraduate Operative Dentistry Clinic on the 12th floor of the Borommanard Srinakarin Building.

Following the tour, Professor Dr. Pornchai Jansisyanont, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University, hosted a lunch for the guests at White Flower Factory restaurant. Associate Professor Dr. Rangsima Sakoolnamarka and fifth-year dental students from Chulalongkorn University who will be participating in an exchange program at Health Science University of Hokkaido, also joined the lunch.

In the afternoon, staff from the International Affairs Office and students accompanied the visitors on a tour of the Vach Vidyavaddhana Museum and the Chulalongkorn University campus, concluding the activities for the first day.

On the second and the final days of the program, the exchange students visited and observed various clinics and dental units, including:

Museum of the Human Body

Operating Room

Oral Diagnostic Clinic

Digital Dentistry Center

Oral Surgery Clinic

At the end of the program, Associate Professor Dr. Rangsima Sakoolnamarka presented certificates and souvenirs to the exchange students, marking the conclusion of the visit.

This visit was part of a mutual agreement under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions, aimed at strengthening collaboration and fostering good relations. The partnership promotes academic and research cooperation while also facilitating cross-cultural exchange. Additionally, the Faculty of Dentistry at Chulalongkorn University will soon be sending students to Health Science University of Hokkaido as part of the exchange program.
