Assistant Professor Dr. Worachat Namangkalakul is a faculty member in the Department of Anatomy at the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. He is actively involved in research at the Center of Excellence for Dental Stem Cell Biology. His research primarily focuses on regenerative dentistry, craniofacial development, and stem cell biology. Notably, he has contributed to several studies exploring bone regeneration and dental tissue repair. Dr. Namangkalakul has a keen research interest in dental and craniofacial tissue regeneration, focusing on the restoration of bone and dental structures through the application of dental- and oral-derived stem cells, such as dental pulp stem cells, periodontal ligament stem cells, and mesenchymal stem cells from bone tissues. His work explores the modulation of cellular differentiation and regeneration through various signalling pathways, the use of natural bioactive compounds, and the development of biomaterial scaffolds. In addition, he has expertise in craniofacial development, with particular attention to the growth and morphogenesis of the skull and facial structures.
