Opening New Perspectives in Dentistry! Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University Hosts Special Lecture on “Supporting Minimal Intervention Dentistry”

On 19 August 2026, the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, hosted a special lecture entitled “Supporting Minimal Intervention Dentistry: How Modern Dental Materials Expand Clinical Possibilities” at the Executive Committee Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Vach Vidyavaddhana Building. The event aimed to promote the exchange of knowledge and insights into advancements in modern dental materials.

The lecture was delivered by Professor Junji Tagami, an expert in operative dentistry and dental materials, who serves as Emeritus Professor, Department of Cariology and Operative Dentistry, Institute of Science Tokyo, and Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University. He shared his in-depth knowledge and extensive experience on the role of modern dental materials in supporting Minimal Intervention Dentistry, an approach that emphasizes the preservation of natural tooth structure and appropriate patient-centered care.

During the event, Prof. Thantrira Porntaveetus, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation, welcomed the participants before the lecture and academic exchange.

The lecture provided an opportunity for faculty members, staff, and interested participants to gain insights into the latest developments in modern dental materials and their clinical applications, supporting treatment approaches that prioritize the preservation of natural tooth structure and the delivery of effective, patient-centered dental care.
