FDCU Welcomed Exchange Students from Showa Medical University for a Clinical Observation Visit and Study Tour of the Faculty’s Clinics and Departments

The Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, welcomed 3 exchange students from Showa Medical University, Japan, during 30 March – 17 April 2026. The students visited and observed various departments and units across the faculty.

On the first day of the program, the International Affairs Department accompanied the exchange students to visit the Vach Vidyavaddhana Museum and the Human Body Museum, allowing them to learn about the faculty’s history and enhancing their academic experience.


Throughout the program, the exchange students visited and observed various clinics and departments as follows:

  • Operative Lab
  • Oral Diagnosis Clinic
  • UG Pediatric Clinic
  • Radiology Clinic
  • Occlusion Clinic
  • Digital Dentistry Lab
  • Operating Room
  • CUIE
  • UG Prosthodontics Clinic
  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic
  • UG Operative Clinic
  • UG Endodontic Clinic
  • PG Endodontic Clinic
  • PG Operative Clinic

    In the second week of the program, the International Affairs Department guided the exchange students on a tour around the university, offering them an opportunity to experience the charm and unique identity of Chulalongkorn University beyond the Faculty of Dentistry. The tour included visits to the Chulalongkorn University Museum and the Arts Shrine of the Faculty of Arts, both of which are among the university’s notable landmarks and popular spots for commemorative photographs.

Additionally, the exchange students participated in an outreach program with the King’s Mobile Dental Unit, visiting Baan Pakkret in Nonthaburi Province to provide proactive dental care services to the local community.


On the final day of the program, Assoc. Prof. Lt. Rangsima Sakoolnamarka, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Corporate Communication and Social Activities, presented certificates of participation and souvenirs to all 3 students.


This activity highlights the role of the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, as a hub of learning and an international academic collaboration network, dedicated to enriching learning experiences, strengthening institutional connections, and fostering sustainable and long-term educational partnerships.
