Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University Participates in International Meetings on AI in Oral Health at LMU Munich
An executive delegation from the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, led by Professor Pornchai Jansisyanont, Dean, participated in The Annual TG Oral Health Meeting and the International Forum on AI in Oral Health, held on September 8–9, 2026, at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) in Munich, Germany.
On the first day of The Annual TG Oral Health Meeting, Dr. Paak Rewthamrongsris, a faculty member of the Department of Anatomy, presented his research entitled “Data/Code Sharing and Reproducibility in Dental AI Research: A Focus on Oral Mucosal Lesions and Periodontal Bone Loss.” The research was conducted as part of his doctoral studies at LMU Munich.
At the International Forum on AI in Oral Health, Professor Thanaphum Osathanon, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies, was invited to participate in a panel discussion entitled “Teaching with AI & Teaching about AI.” Professor Emeritus Lakshman Samaranayake also contributed to a panel discussion entitled “Dental Research and Publishing in the Era of AI.”
Participation in these international meetings provided an important opportunity to exchange knowledge and perspectives on artificial intelligence in dentistry while strengthening international academic and research collaborations.
