รศ. ดร. ริสา ชัยศุภรัตน์ เป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านทันตพยาธิวิทยา สำเร็จการศึกษาทันตแพทยศาสตรบัณฑิต (เกียรตินิยม) จากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และปริญญาเอกจาก University of Maryland, Baltimore และได้รับวุฒิบัตรทั้งจากสหรัฐอเมริกาและประเทศไทย ขอบเขตงานวิจัยครอบคลุมชีววิทยาของมะเร็งช่องปาก ภูมิคุ้มกันพยาธิวิทยา และกลไกการเกิดโรคในช่องปากและขากรรไกรในระดับโมเลกุล
