Oral pathology is the dental and pathology subspecialty with emphasis on the study of causes, processes, identification, management and outcome of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. The oral pathology practice primarily focuses on the microscopic diagnosis of diseases with clinical, radiographic and laboratory correlation, leading to the proper management of oral lesions. Advanced program in Oral Pathology will train prospective applicants to be proficient at diagnosing diseases involving the oral and maxillofacial regions, interpreting routine as well as advanced diagnostic techniques, oral and maxillofacial radiographs and gaining experience in treating oral lesions. In addition, literature review and research are the integral part of the program to prepare students for future professional and academic career.

Higher Graduate Diploma in Clinical Sciences in Oral Pathology at Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University is a 3-year program designed to train prospective students to be proficient in practicing and teaching oral and maxillofacial pathology. Our academic staffs are distinguished board-certified oral and maxillofacial pathologists (Thai and American Board) and are leaders in the field of oral and maxillofacial pathology. This program is accredited by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Thailand and students who successfully completed the program will be eligible to sit for the Thai Board of Oral Diagnostic Science (Oral Pathology) examination.
The oral pathology graduate program offers strong didactic courses in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial pathology as well as clinical practice in surgical oral pathology laboratory service, oral medicine and oral and maxillofacial radiology clinics. Students will be trained to develop clinical thinking, academic presenting and teaching skills in a myriad of seminar courses. Students are also encouraged to develop their own research projects to acquire research experience and manuscript writing skills.
